Job Description

Piper Companies is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Day Shift) for a full-time opportunity within the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry in Wilson, North Carolina. This Maintenance Technician (Day Shift) position will provide critical equipment and process support across sterile manufacturing operations that produce life-saving healthcare products in a highly regulated environment. Responsibilities Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment supporting sterile manufacturing and packaging operations. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and process-related equipment issues to ensure optimal system performance. Support critical manufacturing assets including sterilization systems, formulation equipment, filling suites, processing tanks, and packaging machinery. Complete maintenance documentation and work orders while adhering to GMP, FDA, safety, and quality requirements. Partner with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to maximize equipment uptime and support continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Associate's degree in Industrial Technology, Maintenance Technology, Mechatronics, or a related technical field preferred. Bioworks Certification preferred; recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Prior experience in industrial maintenance, pharmaceutical manufacturing, food production, biotechnology, or other regulated manufacturing environments is preferred. Candidates without a degree will be considered if they possess relevant pharmaceutical or industrial maintenance experience. Strong troubleshooting abilities with mechanical systems and a high level of attention to detail when working on mission-critical equipment.
Compensation Salary Range:
$27.00 - $36.00 per hour
