Job Description
Piper Companies is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Night Shift) to join a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing organization for a 6 month, onsite, contract-to-hire position based in Wilson, NC . The Maintenance Technician (Night Shift) will play a critical role in maintaining and troubleshooting manufacturing and utility equipment that supports sterile pharmaceutical production operations. This position offers an opportunity to join a growing maintenance team and contribute to the reliability, safety, and efficiency of a highly regulated manufacturing environment. Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician (Night Shift) include:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, sterilizers, tanks, pumps, motors, and related process systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and process-related equipment issues to minimize downtime.
- Support equipment installations, modifications, and continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing operations.
- Follow all GMP, safety, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures while completing maintenance activities.
- Document maintenance work, equipment repairs, and preventive maintenance activities within the maintenance management system. Qualifications for the Maintenance Technician (Night Shift) include:
- Experience performing industrial maintenance within a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
- Knowledge of process equipment, including sterilization systems, tanks, pumps, and motors.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and perform basic motor wiring and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and industrial safety practices.
- Associate degree, industrial maintenance certification, BioWork certification, or equivalent technical training preferred; recent graduates with applicable training are encouraged to apply.
