Job Description
Piper Companies is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a full-time night shift opportunity in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry located in Wilson, North Carolina. This Maintenance Technician will support critical production operations across multiple manufacturing facilities that produce sterile medical products. This role is ideal for candidates with industrial maintenance experience, recent Bioworks graduates, or individuals looking to launch a career in pharmaceutical manufacturing maintenance. Responsibilities Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on manufacturing and packaging equipment used in a regulated production environment. Troubleshoot and repair process systems including sterilization equipment, mixing vessels, production lines, and automated machinery. Support manufacturing operations by responding to equipment issues and minimizing production downtime during night shift operations. Complete maintenance activities in compliance with safety, quality, and documentation requirements within a GMP-regulated facility. Assist with equipment installations, mechanical upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant reliability and performance. Qualifications Associate's degree in Industrial Technology, Mechatronics, Maintenance Technology, or a related technical discipline preferred. Bioworks certification strongly preferred; entry-level candidates with relevant technical training are encouraged to apply. Previous experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, pharmaceutical production, or related environments is preferred. Candidates without a degree may be considered if they possess relevant industrial or pharmaceutical maintenance experience. Working knowledge of mechanical systems, troubleshooting techniques, and industrial equipment maintenance with a strong attention to detail.
