PM Maintenance Technician Penn Engineering Corp - 3.5 Winston-Salem, NC Job Details 2 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Dimensional measurements Precision measurement in machining Full Job Description Job Summary Maintains and repairs all Automatic Screw Machines Essential Functions Handles all screw machine mechanical problems, malfunctions, or breakdowns beyond the capabilities of the Team Leader or Troubleshooter. Performs the job of Machine Maintenance B in its entirety as assigned. Receives general direction from Team Leader and works from detailed machine parts drawings, machine manuals, specifications, tool charts and instructions. Exercises independent judgment in diagnosing and correcting machine problems and refers only extremely difficult or unusual machine problems to the Machine Maintenance Team Leader. Diagnose mechanical problems of automatic screw machines, determines the most effective and efficient means of correcting the problems, and makes repairs; thereby keeping machine downtime to a minimum. In making repairs, follows standard procedures, tolerances, alignments and recommendations of machine manual. Other Duties Implements preventive maintenance program following prescribed procedures and time intervals. Replaces or repairs machine parts or components detected to be defective. Maintains necessary program record. Maintains stock of spare parts used solely in screw machine maintenance programs. Detects and reports faulty machine operation, defective equipment, sub-standard components, or similar machine related shortcomings to the Machine Maintenance Team Leader. Makes out time, production, and maintenance reports as necessary. Observes all safety regulation in all duties. Assists in the rebuilding of the screw machine to manufacturing specifications. Performs other duties as required.
Requirements:
Physical Requirements Must be able to stand throughout an entire shift. Must be able to bend and stretch forward as needed. Visual acuity to read micrometers and various measuring instruments. Occasional lifting up to 70 to 90 pounds Education/Qualifications Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. Must have an excellent attendance record Must be a B-3 Screw Machine Operator or have demonstrated above average mechanical skills to qualify
