Job Summary:
The Preventative Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of production equipment and plant systems through routine and preventative maintenance procedures. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues to minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems, including production equipment and plant utilities. Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, control circuits, and equipment, including three-phase motors and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). Calibrate and maintain pneumatic systems and other mechanical components to ensure peak performance. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and scheduled procedures. Collaborate with the operations team to identify and implement improvements to equipment and processes. Adhere to safety standards, including NFPA 70E, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred. Proven experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment. Solid understanding of relay logic, PLCs, and pneumatic systems. Familiarity with
NFPA 70E
standards and ability to apply them in the workplace. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
