Job Description

What You'll Do You will perform maintenance activities on electrical and mechanical systems within a cold storage automated facility. Responsibilities include conducting preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, overhauls, and continuous improvement activities while maintaining accurate records and a clean work area. Occasional travel by automobile and airplane may be required. Essential Functions
  • Perform maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems such as conveyors, turntables, palletizers, and related equipment in a cold storage automated facility.
  • Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance activities including troubleshooting and overhauls or rebuilds.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance system performance and reliability.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed using a computerized maintenance management system.
  • Keep work area clean and perform housekeeping duties as required.
  • Travel by automobile and airplane as necessary to support facility operations.
  • Perform related work and other job assignments as required.
  • Other essential duties may be applicable and assigned as necessary. What Experience and Education You Need
  • Minimum 3 years of electro-mechanical systems maintenance experience in an automated facility required.
  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician (CMRT) or equivalent certification required.
  • Proficient in maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems including conveyors, palletizers, stretch wrapping machines, label printers, cranes, shuttles, VFDs, Servo Motors, and sensors.
  • Ability to use Lockout Tagout (LOTO) procedures and devices and apply principles of electrical safety including arc flash and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve technical issues in automated systems and communicate technical information clearly to team members and stakeholders. What Could Set You Apart
  • Certifications or formal training in mechatronics or maintenance preferred.
  • Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, and vision systems.
  • Knowledge of SAP or Oracle systems.
  • Understanding of precision maintenance techniques and associated tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and interpret drawings and equipment diagrams.
  • Understanding of preventative and predictive maintenance techniques, tools, and processes.
  • Effective verbal and written communication. Physical Requirements
  • Able to tolerate working environment with inside controlled temperatures of minus 45 (-45) degrees Fahrenheit (-43 degrees Celsius) and outside ambient temperatures (including heat, cold, and precipitation).
  • Able to work at heights in excess of 30 ft.
