This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to learn, grow, and develop hands-on skills in installing, repairing, and maintaining dock doors, loading docks, and related equipment. No prior experience? No problem! We're willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a desire to excel. As part of our team, you'll gain valuable experience working on construction sites and with a variety of tools and materials, setting the foundation for a rewarding career in industrial maintenance and installation. Duties Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of dock doors, overhead doors, and related hardware using hand tools and power tools Learn to troubleshoot basic mechanical and electrical issues Perform heavy lifting tasks safely to move materials and equipment around job sites Use fabrication skills to assist with metal framing, metal stud framing, or custom modifications as needed Conduct basic carpentry tasks such as trim carpentry and frame carpentry during installations or remodels Support electrical work related to door operators or lighting systems when required Follow safety protocols diligently during all tasks on construction sites Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work at heights when necessary Requirements Willingness to learn new skills in dock & door installation and repair Basic familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and construction site safety practices Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday Mechanical aptitude with an interest in fabrication, welding, or electrical systems is a plus but not required Prior experience in construction, remodeling, handyman work or carpentry is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided Knowledge of blueprint reading or schematics is beneficial but can be learned on the job Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and willingness to follow instructions Valid driver's license preferred for travel between job sites Willing to work overtime as nessary including ocasional satudarys
