Facilities Maintenance Specialist

Farmsteads of New England is a unique Farm designed to support individuals diagnosed with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities, as well as individuals diagnosed with Acquired Brain Disorders. We provide support, care, and lifelong memories. What will I do? As a Facilities Maintenance Specialist, you will work with Residential and Day Staff, Farm Hands, and our Farmers to maintain the facilities of our community. This includes all aspects of construction, demolition, carpentry, plumbing, painting, mechanical systems and preventative maintenance, landscaping, roof repairs, and installing and replacing electrical fixtures. Daily Responsibilities Responding to Work Order Requests in a timely manner Prepares vacant units for new tenants. Maintains the property landscaping, appearance, and accessibility.

Position Requirements:

A fantastic sense of humor and caring heart. A kind disposition and desire to help others succeed. Minimum of a GED or Highschool diploma. A valid driver's license. Ability to pass all applicable DCYF, BEAS, Local Law, Federal and other required background screenings per applicable regulations. 18 Years or older at the time of hire U.S. Citizen or possession of necessary papers allowing holder to work legally in the United States. Personal/Professional experience caring for others is a significant plus.

Compensation Competitive Pay Great Benefits Compensation is dependent on Education, Experience (professional/personal) and/or certifications (if any). Schedule Monday through Friday (weather dependent) 8 Hour shift, varying times between 7am to 7pm (weather dependent) Ability to clear snow as needed.
