Job Description
Ossipee Mountain Land Company is a small family-owned business started in 1985. We manufacture and sell kiln dried packaged firewood and kindling to grocery and convenience store distributors across New England and the Mid-Atlantic states. Ossipee Mountain Land Company is expanding and upgrading our production capabilities to meet our rapidly growing demand and we are in search of motivated individuals that want to grow with the company. Ossipee Mountain Land Company has an opening for a Mill Maintenance Millwright. The primary objective of the Maintenance Millwright is to maintain the mill and yard equipment in proper working order. This position requires knowledge in mechanical and electrical processes and trouble shooting. This person will conduct preventative maintenance of machinery to minimize unnecessary downtime and ensure efficient operation of the facility. The daily activities of any maintenance personnel are subject to change due to the needs of the mill and work hours must be flexible. Duties and Responsibilities Organize and follow a preventive maintenance program for the following: Sawmill Machinery, Packaging Machinery, Yard equipment Utilize cutting torches Welding and metal fabrication with both mig & stick welding Assemble and install equipment using hand and power tools Troubleshoot and replace / repair defective parts Be willing to work off production hours each week (when the facility is not running) All other duties as needed
