Job Description

Our client, a global leader within the beauty industry , is seeking temporary 2nd shift Industrial Maintenance Technician for their distribution center location in Cranbury, NJ. In this role, you will help keep Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and facility systems running at peak performance by completing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and executing timely repairs. 2nd shift: 4pm-12:30am
Job Duties Include:
Ability to maintain and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical aspects of MHE (including conveyor systems, sortation, and scales) Strong mechanical proficiency with hydraulic and pneumatic systems and AC/DC motors/drives Experience adjusting, resetting, repairing, or replacing mechanical components (e.g., belts, chains, cables) and wear parts (e.g., bearings, rollers, pulleys, wheels) Ability to troubleshoot/maintain components such as photo eyes, relays, proximity sensors, solenoids, motor starters Ability to perform electrical maintenance/repairs using tools such as multi-meters and infrared thermometers Ability to read and understand basic electrical/electronic schematics Comfortable using a computerized asset/work order system to open/close work orders and document labor hours, downtime, causes/remedies, and parts used Strong time management, problem-solving, and communication skills; able to work independently and as part of a team Commitment to safety and compliance, including proper use of PPE and adherence to procedures such as Lock Out/Tag Out and permits as required
Job Qualifications Include:
5+ years of mechanic experience, preferably in a Distribution Center setting Basic knowledge of electrical motors and circuits High overall mechanical repair knowledge; conveyor systems experience preferred Inventory/spare parts handling experience plus data entry and basic computer skills Forklift certifications preferred
Compensation:
$29-$38 per hour depending on experience. This is a temporary position. The worker will be employed and paid by PCG.
