Job Description
About the role: This position is responsible for facilitating troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, installing, and improving process and packaging equipment to maximize production and maintain high standards in safety and quality. This position also improves maintenance procedures and manufacturing processes for the improvement of safety, quality, delivery, cost, and culture.
Working Hours:
Wednesday from 12 am to 6 pm, and from Thursday to Saturday from 6 pm to 6 pm.
Key responsibilities include: Observe all safety, sanitation, GMP, and HACCP requirements
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems on equipment.
Demonstrate understanding of control systems, pumps, motors, HMIs, and PLCs on complex process and packaging equipment.
Perform various equipment preventive maintenance tasks as necessary, but routinely in cases requiring advanced technical expertise Responsible for safety compliance personally and with equipment.
Review documentation for maintenance activity using the maintenance database, adequately communicate maintenance issues to appropriate employees (e.g., other maintenance techs, operators, engineers, supervisors, etc.), and properly utilize the maintenance inventory system.
Perform preventative maintenance tasks according to appropriate schedules and documentation
Document maintenance activity using the maintenance CMMS and database
Communicate maintenance issues to team members
Use the maintenance inventory system and procedures
Complete maintenance requests and technical projects
Participate in process improvement initiatives About you: High School diploma or vocational training required.
Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience; food manufacturing experience preferred.
Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and technical diagrams.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to make technical decisions.
Knowledge of
LOTO, OSHA
standards, CMMS systems (Maximo preferred), and Microsoft Office.
Strong teamwork, communication, and commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Ability to work at heights up to 50 feet, lift up to 75 lbs regularly (100 lbs occasionally), and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, reaching, and climbing stairs.
Ability to work in varying weather conditions, temperature extremes, and high-noise environments while following all safety requirements. What you can expect from
