This position supports the Maintenance Department by ensuring machinery and equipment remain clean and free of debris while assisting mechanics with basic maintenance duties. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a manufacturing or industrial environment and follows all safety procedures. Essential Duties & Responsibilities  Clean and maintain industrial laundry machines, conveyors, dryers, washers, presses, and surrounding equipment.  Sweep, mop, and remove lint, dust, grease, oil, and debris from machinery and maintenance areas.  Dispose of waste materials according to company safety guidelines.  Assist maintenance mechanics with routine preventive maintenance tasks.  Clean tools, parts, maintenance carts, and workstations.  Organize maintenance supplies and keep inventory areas neat.  Report equipment leaks, damage, or unsafe conditions to the Maintenance Supervisor.  Safely use cleaning chemicals, degreasers, and cleaning equipment.  Assist with machine shutdown cleaning and maintenance projects.  Maintain cleanliness throughout the production floor and mechanical rooms.  Follow OSHA regulations and all company safety policies.  Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications  High school diploma or GED preferred.  Previous experience in a factory, warehouse, manufacturing, industrial cleaning, or commercial laundry environment is preferred.  Mechanical aptitude is a plus.  Ability to use hand tools and cleaning equipment safely.  Ability to work independently and as part of a team.  Reliable transportation and excellent attendance.  Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers. Physical Requirements  Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.  Frequently bend, kneel, squat, climb ladders, and reach overhead.  Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.  Work around moving machinery, heat, noise, moisture, and industrial cleaning chemicals.  Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced factory environment.
Pay:
$18.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
