About the
Role:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and certified ASL Interpreter/Job Coach to provide sign-language interpreter services for individuals with disabilities. The ideal candidate should have a valid driver's license and at least two years of relevant experience in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct on-site and off-site job coaching to support individuals with disabilities. Assist with job development activities and provide long-term support to ensure successful employment outcomes. Collaborate with individuals to enhance job searching skills, including resume and cover letter creation, references, and job applications. Offer guidance and support during interviews, including mock interviews and attendance when necessary. Establish and maintain positive relationships with employers to facilitate job placement and retention. Identify and foster natural supports to ensure stability and success in the workplace. Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state regulations. Conduct intake paperwork and vocational interviews for new referrals. Complete daily work logs to track progress and activities.
Qualifications:
Certification in American Sign Language (ASL) is mandatory. Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred. A valid driver's license and access to a car are necessary.
