Full Job Description Residential Maintenance Technician Location :

Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM + Rotational On-Call Join a Mission-Driven Team Making a Difference! Are you a hands-on problem solver who takes pride in keeping things running smoothly? Do you enjoy variety in your work and want to be part of a team that supports independent living for individuals with disabilities? Project Freedom is looking for a dedicated Maintenance Technician to help maintain our vibrant, barrier-free apartment community.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Performing general repairs and preventative maintenance (plumbing, electrical, painting, HVAC filter changes, etc.)
  • Turning over apartments for new residents
  • Maintaining common areas, including laundry rooms and lobbies
  • Landscaping, snow removal, and exterior upkeep (power washing, gutter cleaning)
  • Managing tools, supplies, and coordinating with outside contractors when needed
  • Responding to emergency maintenance calls on a rotating schedule
Position Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of hands-on maintenance experience, preferably in residential or apartment settings
  • Solid knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general building systems
  • Comfortable using power tools and handling paints, solvents, and gas appliances
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair toilets, outlets, light fixtures, and safety systems
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Strong time management, communication skills, and a positive, can-do attitude
  • HVAC experience is a plus!
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, stretch, and climb ladders as needed Why Work With Us?
