Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM + Rotational On-Call Join a Mission-Driven Team Making a Difference! Are you a hands-on problem solver who takes pride in keeping things running smoothly? Do you enjoy variety in your work and want to be part of a team that supports independent living for individuals with disabilities? Project Freedom is looking for a dedicated Maintenance Technician to help maintain our vibrant, barrier-free apartment community.

Position Responsibilities:

Performing general repairs and preventative maintenance (plumbing, electrical, painting, HVAC filter changes, etc.)
Turning over apartments for new residents
Maintaining common areas, including laundry rooms and lobbies
Landscaping, snow removal, and exterior upkeep (power washing, gutter cleaning)
Managing tools, supplies, and coordinating with outside contractors when needed
Responding to emergency maintenance calls on a rotating schedule

Position Requirements:

3-5 years of hands-on maintenance experience, preferably in residential or apartment settings
Solid knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general building systems
Comfortable using power tools and handling paints, solvents, and gas appliances
Ability to troubleshoot and repair toilets, outlets, light fixtures, and safety systems
A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Strong time management, communication skills, and a positive, can-do attitude
HVAC experience is a plus!

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, stretch, and climb ladders as needed Why Work With Us?
