Job Description

Residential Maintenance Technician Responsible, under the direction of the Property Manager, for all physical operations of the apartment community, particularly preservation and maintenance of the asset, in accordance with policies and procedures defined by the company. Candidates must possess a valid and in good standing driver's license.
Essential Job Functions:
Monitor and direct scheduling of all maintenance personnel and vendors. Administer maintenance functions, and accurate tracking of inventory for repair and maintenance. Responsible for turnover process, troubleshooting and repair of all mechanical systems, satisfactory and timely completion of service requests, and observation and reporting of potential liability concerns or safety hazards. Monitor and supervise all vendors and outside contractors to ensure the quality and completion of work. Responsible with the assistance of the Regional Maintenance Coordinator for company safety policies.
Skills & Knowledge:
Experience in apartment maintenance. Direct supervisory experience. Proficient in most areas of apartment maintenance to include plumbing, electricity, painting, drywall, floor coverings, carpentry, locks, appliances, pools & spas, roofs and life safety equipment. Basic computer knowledge, written skills and strong oral communication are required. Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job. Function effectively in a customer service environment.
