As a Maintenance Mechanic, a typical day might include the following: Performing scheduled compliance inspections and completing repairs as needed throughout the facility (initial assessment and troubleshooting of basic HVAC, electrical and plumbing) Conducting preventative maintenance activities to ensure building systems remain safe and operational. Responding to patient-related concerns and other maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner. Inspecting the environment of care and identifying potential safety hazards before they become issues. Supporting life safety initiatives, including fire boundary inspections and preventative maintenance of firefighting equipment. Utilizing work request systems to document tasks, maintain records, and track completed work. Coordinating and overseeing outside contractors to ensure work is completed safely and in accordance with organizational standards. Contributing to a safe, comfortable, and healing environment for patients, visitors, and team members.
