Maintenance Technician Location:

Day/Night, 12 hours shift on 2-2-3 schedule
Payrate:
$30.00-$34.00 Reports to: Maintenance Manager Job Summary Troubleshooting equipment and programming related problems, while performing immediate repairs. Performing preventative maintenance on the equipment - including controls, filling machines, conveyors, processing, and packaging equipment.

None.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Diagnosing and performing emergency repairs and adjustments while the line is running efficiently. Work with production line operators on changeovers and assist operators with daily operational activities. Support the training of operators, technicians, and others at the point of operation. Assemble, install, and test new equipment. Use a variety of power and hand tools to perform job functions. Modify/fabricate equipment to maintain and improve the production lines. Efficiently troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems. Schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance and service for each piece of equipment. Participate in clean-inspect-lubricate activities on machines regularly to detect signs of malfunctions, including visual and sound inspections. Carry out routine inspection of production machines for potential malfunctions, identify defective parts and assess maintenance needs. Generate and complete work orders assigned. Accurately complete electronic/manual records of work performed. Attend and participate in daily shift meetings. Uphold visual management of the work area. Follows and supports continuous improvement methodologies. Strict adherence to all safety, health, and environmental policies. Strict adherence to all GMP and food safety policies. Perform necessary preventive maintenance on equipment as needed. Completes all required training on time. Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Technical Knowledge:
Understanding of HVAC, plumbing, mechanical systems, and industrial machinery.
Troubleshooting & Repair:
Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining equipment (e.g., motor controls, pneumatics, hydraulics).
Electrical Knowledge:
Basic understanding of wiring, circuits, sensors, and control panels (within certification limits).
Team Collaboration:
Support and train other technicians, assisting during major repairs, and maintaining strong teamwork.
Safety & Compliance:
Knowledge of OSHA regulations, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and PPE usage.
Time Management:
Prioritizing tasks, from preventive maintenance to urgent repairs.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, industrial, or related environments, with knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
