Building Maintenance Technician

Position Overview Moorestown Friends School is hiring a Building Maintenance Technician to help maintain a safe, clean, and fully operational campus. This position supports both building systems and outdoor spaces, while also assisting with daily school operations and special events. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their work and takes pride in maintaining a well-kept environment. Duties Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs across campus buildings Assist with upkeep of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems Maintain outdoor areas including lawns, walkways, and landscaping Prepare spaces for school events, meetings, and athletic activities Support athletic field setup, lining, and seasonal maintenance Remove trash and recycling and assist with general custodial needs Respond to maintenance requests and complete assigned work orders Assist with snow and ice removal during winter months Help maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles Experience High school diploma or equivalent required Experience in facilities, maintenance, or grounds work preferred Working knowledge of basic trades (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC) Ability to operate landscaping and maintenance equipment Valid driver's license required Willingness to obtain boiler certification within 12 months Schedule & Work Environment Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM•3:30 PM Combination of indoor and outdoor work Physically active role including lifting, bending, and standing Why Work Here Consistent full-time weekday schedule Supportive school community Variety in daily responsibilities Benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 403(b) with match Opportunity to build new skills and certifications About the School Moorestown Friends School is a private Quaker school committed to academic excellence, community, and values-based education.
