Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Pool Technician - All Seasons, where your expertise will keep aquatic facilities safe, clean, and inviting year-round! This energetic role offers the opportunity to work outdoors and indoors in a fast-paced environment, ensuring pools are properly maintained and functioning optimally across all seasons. You'll be at the forefront of water quality management, equipment troubleshooting, and customer service, making a splash in the community with your technical skills and dedication. This role is responsible for the full scope of pool maintenance, repair, and seasonal servicing — from routine cleanings and chemical balancing to pump and equipment repair, plumbing, plaster, and tile work. The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge of pool systems along with the versatility to handle commercial accounts, including camps, town/municipal pools, and hotel properties within the Tri-State. Key Responsibilities:
- Have a working understanding of the commercial brands that we sell regionally, (Westlake Chemical, ChlorKing, Clear Comfort, Nuvonic UV, and more...) of which you maybe called to troubleshoot and provide aftermarket service for.
- Test and adjust water chemistry, including pH and chemical balancing, in line with health and safety standards; provide reports of your findings.
- Maintain accurate service records, communicate site conditions, and recommend repairs or upgrades to clients and management
- Follow all safety protocols and applicable local, state, and health code regulations for pool operation and chemical handling
- Diagnose and repair commercial pool pump and circulation systems; troubleshoot mechanical and system-level issues
- Perform piping and plumbing repairs and installations related to commercial pool systems
- Complete pool tile repair, replacement, and restoration work
- Perform plaster repair and resurfacing work on pool surfaces
- Perform seasonal opening and closing of commercial pools, including winterization procedures
- Install, remove, and maintain commercial pool covers
- Conduct routine pool cleanings and general upkeep to maintain safe, sanitary conditions Qualifications
- Proven experience as a pool technician, pool service professional, or in a related trade
- Strong working knowledge of pool pumps, filtration, and water quality systems
- Hands-on experience with piping/plumbing repair, tile work, and plaster/resurfacing
- Experience with seasonal commercial pool openings/closings, and cover installation
- Commercial pool experience is strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of pool water chemistry and pH/chemical treatment
- Electrical/Controls experience a plus
- Valid and CLEAN driver's license
- Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, bending, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in the field
- Professional demeanor and strong communication skills when interacting with clients. Preferred Certifications
- CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification or equivalent, a plus but not required
- CMS (Certified Maintenance Specialist) or equivalent, a plus but not required
- CST (Certified Service Technician) or equivalent, a plus but not required
- Relevant state pool contractor or trade licensure, where applicable
Pay:
$22.00 - $32.00 per hourBenefits:
