Share Job:

A nonexempt position responsible for performing a general x-ray and administrative duties. These duties include but are not limited to providing clinical and supportive services to patients, providers, and staff, greeting patients, creating or verifying, analyzing and updating patient insurance information. Specimen collection, preparing for exams, patient history collection, performing screening procedures per provider guidelines, relaying instructions to patients, and assisting with other specific practice procedures (varying by office). May be assigned to various offices including medical specialty departments. Performs diagnostic radiographic examinations as prescribed by a licensed physician or chiropractor utilizing radiation producing equipment within established departmental guidelines serving neonate, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients.

Education & Experience:

AMA approved, accredited program in Radiologic Technology. Six-month experience preferred.

Certification/Licensure :

New Jersey License required. Radiologic Technologist Registry (ARRT) preferred. CPR certified required (American Heart Association).

Knowledge & Skills:

Demonstrates knowledge of exam protocol appropriate to the ages of the patients served (neonate, pediatric, adult or geriatric).

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged, extensive or considerable standing and walking. Lifts, positions, pushes and/or transfers patients. Lifts supplies and equipment. Subject to potential electrical and radiation hazards.
