Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at The Residence community. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance, electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC system repair. This role requires a proactive approach to maintaining building systems and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for residents and staff alike. The Maintenance Technician will play a vital role in supporting the operational excellence of our community through expert maintenance practices. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal operation. Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools. Conduct plumbing repairs and maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent leaks and ensure proper function. Maintain building interior surfaces through painting, carpentry, and other facilities maintenance tasks. Operate hand tools and specialized equipment safely to complete repairs efficiently. Assist with maintenance painting projects to uphold community aesthetics. Follow safety protocols while working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical systems, and welding equipment. Collaborate with team members to address facility issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to residents' daily routines. Skills Extensive knowledge of electrical work, including repair of electrical equipment and understanding schematics. Proficiency in plumbing system maintenance and repair techniques. Experience with HVAC system troubleshooting and repair is essential. Mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to operate hand tools effectively. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in building automation systems. Strong understanding of facilities equipment maintenance (MRO) practices. Ability to read technical schematics and use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with residents and staff. Leadership qualities that support team collaboration and mentorship in maintenance operations.
