DOE Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician (2nd & 3rd shift) to join our Engineering team and support our fast-paced food manufacturing environment. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining production and quality by ensuring the efficient operation, repair, and upkeep of machinery and equipment across the facility. You will work closely with Senior Mechanics and the Maintenance Supervisor to troubleshoot issues, perform preventive maintenance, and support continuous improvement of the production process.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform maintenance tasks, safety checks, and mechanical repairs on all production equipment. Conduct routine preventive maintenance and service on machinery according to established schedules. 2. Troubleshoot mechanical issues by observing equipment operation, identifying root causes, and performing corrective repairs. 3. Install, adjust, or relocate machinery and equipment as needed to support production needs. 4. Interpret and work from sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer instructions, and engineering specifications. 5. Ensure equipment and infrastructure meet OSHA and local safety standards. 6. Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment by following all safety procedures and regulations. 7. Document maintenance activities and communication equipment status to supervisors and production leadership. 8. Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance equipment performance and reliability. 9. Maintain technical knowledge by participating in ongoing training and learning opportunities.
Qualifications:

High School Diploma Requirements:
1. 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (food manufacturing or CPG strongly preferred). 2. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical components, pneumatics, hydraulics, and machine troubleshooting. 3. Hands-on experience repairing motors, belts, chains, bearings, sensors, valves, and production equipment. 4. Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals. 5. Knowledge of food safety practices, and safe machine operation standards. 6. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment. 7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond quickly to equipment issues. 8. Basic computer skills for entering work orders and maintenance documentation. 9. Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, control panels, and automation troubleshooting. 10. Experience with CMMS systems. 11. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred. 12. Ability to continuously lift up to 50 lbs. 13. Ability to bend, twist, and walk throughout the shift 14. Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift 8-10+ hours. 15. Ability to work in production environments with varying temperatures. 16. Comfortable working around machinery, conveyors, and industrial equipment.
