Pay Rate:
$18.00 - $21.00 per hour (based on experience) Position Overview We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our motel team in Wildwood Crest. This role is responsible for ensuring the property is well-maintained, safe, and guest-ready at all times. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in general maintenance, including electrical work, painting, drywall repair, and pool equipment operation. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs across guest rooms and common areas Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical systems (lighting, outlets, breakers, etc.) Complete drywall repairs, patching, and interior/exterior painting projects Maintain and service pool equipment, including pumps, filters, and chemical balancing Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and costly repairs Respond promptly to maintenance requests from management and guests Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and local codes Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance logs Qualifications Proven experience in general maintenance or a similar role (hospitality experience preferred) Working knowledge of electrical systems, drywall repair, and painting Experience with pool maintenance and equipment (CPO certification is a plus but not required) Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks Reliable transportation and flexible availability (including weekends/holidays during peak season) Preferred Skills Basic plumbing knowledge HVAC troubleshooting experience Familiarity with motel or hotel operations Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly rate: $18-$21/hour , based on experience Overtime opportunities during peak season Potential for seasonal bonuses Flexible scheduling options Work Environment This position requires both indoor and outdoor work in a motel setting, including exposure to weather conditions and pool areas. The role is essential to maintaining guest satisfaction and overall property standards.
