About the Opportunity PeopleShare is supporting a client that is an established and reputable organization with a strong focus on safety, reliability, and employee development. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on Maintenance Mechanic looking for long-term stability and growth.

Edison, NJ Pay:
$75,000 - $95,000 annually (based on experience) Job Summary Under the supervision of the Superintendent or Maintenance Foreman, the Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for operating, repairing, installing, and maintaining equipment across pumping stations, water storage facilities, booster stations, metering pits, and well fields. Key Responsibilities Maintain instrumentation including flow/pressure meters, transmitters, and monitoring systems Service chemical feed systems (chlorinators, metering pumps) Maintain HVAC systems and facility equipment Inspect and test system protection equipment (relief valves, pressure systems) Maintain emergency equipment (generators, emergency lighting, response systems) Troubleshoot pumping systems (mechanical, electrical, SCADA) Perform inspections and maintain repair records and parts inventory Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and facility modifications Handle chemical receiving and storage procedures Support emergency repairs and plant operations Participate in on-call rotation and work overtime as needed Perform facility upkeep (cleaning basins/tanks, snow removal) Follow all safety policies and procedures Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Valid New Jersey driver's license required Minimum 6 years of experience in maintenance of industrial or mechanical equipment Experience with electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, or chemical feed systems preferred Ability to obtain within 3 years: T-1 License NJ Black Seal License Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off + holidays Tuition assistance and career development Life and disability insurance Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 100 lbs Frequent standing, climbing, bending, and manual labor Comfortable working in industrial environments Additional Requirements Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Must pass background check, drug screen, and physical Availability for weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts IND806
