Job Description
Mechanical Mechanic Anthony, NM The schedule is 7:30AM
- 4:00PM Mon
- Fri. OT as needed Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and Holidays off. Pay
- $25•30 HR.
JOB PURPOSE
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you are responsible for keeping our equipment running safely and efficiently. You'll troubleshoot issues, make repairs, and perform routine preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and keep production moving. You will maintain, repair, and troubleshoot shop machinery, as well as complete scheduled preventative maintenance on production equipment. This role requires someone who can work independently, stay proactive, and solve problems quickly in a fast-paced environment. DUTIES These essential functions indicate the general nature and level of work expected in this position. Maintenance team members maybe asked to perform other duties as required and the responsibilities of the position may change.- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment, including CNC and non-CNC machines, presses, and facility systems ' Perform routine preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and keep equipment running efficiently ' Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues by observing equipment, testing systems, and using precision measuring tools
- Complete repairs involving pneumatic, hydraulic, basic electrical systems and elementary wiring.
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Remove and replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, hoists, and other equipment ' Coordinates with production and engineering teams to align maintenance activities with operational goals and minimize downtime
- Inspect parts and equipment to determine wear, alignment, and proper function
- Fabricate or modify parts as needed using shop equipment such as mills, lathes, and welding tools
- Communicate with production team members to coordinate repairs and minimize disruption to operations
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, issues identified, and follow-up needs
- Monitor equipment performance and proactively address potential problems before breakdowns occur
- Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt. ' Support continuous Improvement efforts to Increase the efficiency and reliability of equipment
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment ' Comply with all company policies and applicable regulations ' Travel occasionally to support equipment or operations at other facilities (up to 4 days as needed)
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- High school graduate or equivalent. Vocational training or technical trade school is preferred.
- Strong mechanical abilities.
