Maintenance Technician Rio Rancho, NM $19.75 ‒ $21 Hourly Apply for this position Back to Jobs We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Maintenance Technician. In this role, you will help ensure that facilities, equipment, and systems operate safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate brings strong problem-solving skills, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on building systems, equipment, and fixtures. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general facility issues as they arise. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and complete work orders in a timely manner. Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability and safety. Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, parts usage, and completed work. Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors as needed for specialized repairs or services. Follow safety procedures, company policies, and applicable regulations at all times. Keep work areas organized, clean, and free of hazards. Qualifications Experience in maintenance, facilities, or a related technical field is preferred. Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems. Ability to diagnose issues and complete repairs with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices. Effective communication and customer service skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a busy environment. Basic computer skills for documenting work orders and maintenance logs. High school diploma or equivalent preferred; technical training or certifications are a plus. Preferred Attributes Hands-on experience with preventive maintenance programs. Familiarity with troubleshooting tools and standard repair equipment. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Strong commitment to quality, reliability, and continuous improvement.
