Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Perform maintenance activities in the guest room including, unclogging drains and fixtures, painting, minor drywall repairs, repairing and/or reporting maintenance needs to all types of hotel hardware and electrical equipment including lamps, air conditioners/HVACComplete scheduled and as-needed maintenance of the hotelProgram TV's and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory dutiesTest, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipmentClean, lubricate, protect, and otherwise maintain all tools, equipment, and fixtures in the hotelProactively evaluate room and corridor fitness and complete or assist in the performance of regular preventive maintenance proceduresMust act in an engineering capacity to protect guests and associates and preserve the building and its systems during the emergencyMaintain brand standards as established or modified for all common area and in-room furniture, fixtures, and equipmentPrioritize and organize work assignment to minimize downtime and periods of inactivityWork under pressure driven situations and exercise good judgementFocus on attention on detail while completing tasks with speed and accuracyMaintain confidentiality of hotel guests and pertinent hotel informationEnsure security of guest room access and hotel propertyRead and understand test equipment, measuring devices, and safety manualsCarry out specific oral and written instructionsMaintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as neededTrain and instruct other members of the staff through sharing of knowledge and skillsPerforms other duties as assigned by
Supervisor or Manager Skills, Education and Other Requirements:
Basic reading and writing abilitiesAbility to work safely with power equipment and toolsProficient in life safety systems operation and resettingMust be able to understand and follow MSDS sheetsKnow the location of all safety equipment how to use the safety equipment and check safety equipment Must have a valid driver's licenseBasic computer skillsHigh School Diploma or Equivalent Work ExperienceGeneral maintenance experience preferredIdentification that establishes identityIdentification that establishes the right to work in the United StatesRegistered with Nevada Gaming Control Board
