$20.05 - $25.10 per hour About the Position Horizon Management is seeking a dependable and skilled Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team in Henderson, Nevada. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining apartment homes, common areas, and building systems while providing timely and professional service to residents. This position will perform routine maintenance, repairs, apartment turnovers, and preventive maintenance to help keep the community safe, clean, and well maintained. This position reports directly to the Property Manager and will require participation in after-hours emergency maintenance calls. Responsibilities Apartment & Property Maintenance Prepare vacant apartment homes for new residents and complete unit turnover work Perform routine and preventive maintenance throughout the community Complete general repairs and maintenance in apartments and common areas Maintain a clean, safe, and professional property environment Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and materials Document completed work and maintain accurate maintenance records Repairs & Troubleshooting Perform drywall repairs and interior/exterior painting Repair or replace doors, closet doors, fixtures, and hardware Repair or replace light fixtures, ceiling fans, outlets, and switches Perform basic plumbing repairs, including toilets, drains, garbage disposals, and dishwashers Perform drain clearing, caulking, and related maintenance tasks Troubleshoot maintenance issues and determine appropriate repair solutions HVAC troubleshooting and experience is a plus Resident Service Respond to resident maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner Communicate clearly with residents regarding maintenance needs and completed work Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when working in occupied apartment homes Complete work safely and according to company standards Qualifications Required 2-4 years of apartment, residential, commercial, or general maintenance experience Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Valid driver's license Current auto insurance Reliable transportation Ability to provide and use basic personal hand tools Good written and verbal communication skills Professional attitude and strong work ethic Ability to work one weekend day as part of the regular schedule Ability to participate in an after-hours emergency maintenance rotation Preferred Multifamily or apartment maintenance experience HVAC experience Appliance repair experience Experience with preventive maintenance programs Compensation & Benefits $20.05 - $25.10 per hour Overtime opportunities, as available Additional compensation for eligible on-call assignments Health benefits Paid time off and holidays 401(k) Schedule Full-time 8-hour shifts Weekend availability required Participation in an after-hours emergency maintenance rotation Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb stairs as needed Ability to perform maintenance work inside and outside apartment buildings Ability to lift and carry maintenance materials and equipment Ability to safely use common hand and power tools Why Join Horizon Management?
