Key duties include directing maintenance staff, implementing preventative maintenance programs, managing budgets, and complying with safety codes. They troubleshoot, perform repairs, and oversee contractors to provide safe guest experience.
Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms, common areas, and exterior, ensuring all machinery (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) operates optimally.
Preventative Maintenance:
Develop and manage a comprehensive preventative maintenance schedule for all guest rooms and equipment.
Safety & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal codes, including fire safety, life safety systems, and environmental regulations.
Team Leadership:
Hire, train, schedule, and supervise engineering staff, fostering a positive, service-oriented team.
Financial Management:
Manage department budget, control expenses, manage inventory of supplies, and oversee contractor contracts.
Guest Service:
Respond to guest complaints or maintenance issues efficiently and professionally.
Required Skills and Qualifications Experience:
Generally, 3-5+ years of hotel or facility maintenance experience, with previous leadership or supervisory roles.
Technical Knowledge:
