Job Description
DICK'S Sporting Goods Distribution Center seeks a Maintenance Tech II to keep our high-volume wholesale operation running safely and efficiently. In this role, you'll perform preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyors, material-handling systems, and facility equipment to minimize downtime and support timely order fulfillment. You'll troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues, follow strict safety and Lockout/Tagout procedures, and document work in a CMMS. Working on-site with a collaborative, safety-first team, you'll receive training, growth opportunities, and competitive pay and benefits while helping products reach athletes nationwide. Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyors, material-handling systems, and facility equipment Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and basic electrical issues to minimize downtime Follow and promote safety, including Lockout/Tagout and OSHA-compliant practices Use a CMMS to document work orders, parts usage, and maintenance history Inspect equipment regularly and identify improvement opportunities to increase reliability Collaborate with operations and warehouse teams to schedule maintenance with minimal disruption Support installation, modification, and upgrades of equipment and systems Respond to equipment breakdowns in a fast-paced distribution environment Maintain tools, parts, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition Participate in ongoing training and skill development to support career growth Required Skills Preventive maintenance Mechanical repair Electrical troubleshooting PLC basics Conveyor systems maintenance Hydraulic and pneumatic systems Blueprint and schematic reading CMMS usage Lockout/Tagout procedures Welding and fabrication basics
