Primary Responsibilities:
If you're skilled in repairs, troubleshooting, and have a knack for fixing things, our maintenance tech position could be right up your alley! As a Maintenance Technician, your primary responsibilities include:- Showing care and concern for our residents through excellence in service ticket resolution and preventative maintenance
- Resolving maintenance issues in the area of minor electrical, plumbing, construction, painting, appliance repair & general maintenance repairs
- Preparing vacant apartments for move-in through turn-over repairs and improvements
- Preserving the beauty of the building and the safety of the community through general upkeep and cleanliness, snow removal and grounds maintenance
- Providing residents with outstanding customer service
- Ensure the workplace meets safety standards and adheres to health and safety regulations and company policies
- Participate in safety training as required
- Working weekends or evenings and being on call for after hour emergencies What You Bring to
Us:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience in building maintenance or an education in the trades
- General knowledge of tools
- Availability for emergency situations at the property, including an on-call rotation
- The ability to lift up to 50 pounds of force frequently
- Personal, reliable transportation to get to work and to respond to on-call emergencies and valid driver's license
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- A sharp professional appearance
- Ability to regularly walk, climb, kneel, crouch and stand for long periods
- Ability to work outside and regularly exposed to all weather elements including extreme cold or heat, rain, sleet and snow What We Bring to
