Randstad is hiring a Facility Maintenance Mechanic / Handyman for an established Long Island distribution facility. We are looking for a hands-on, mechanically inclined individual who can handle a variety of maintenance and repair needs throughout a busy warehouse environment.

Responsibilities Perform general facility maintenance and repairs Troubleshoot basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues Complete preventive maintenance throughout the facility Perform carpentry, painting, patching, hardware installation, and general repairs Repair doors, locks, shelving, fixtures, and building components Assist with basic warehouse and facility equipment repairs Inspect the facility and identify maintenance or safety concerns Use hand and power tools to complete maintenance projects Respond to maintenance requests and prioritize repairs Assist with installations and facility improvement projects Maintain tools, parts, and maintenance supplies Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe Qualifications Previous facility maintenance, building maintenance, mechanic, or handyman experience Mechanically inclined with troubleshooting skills Experience using hand and power tools Basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical knowledge Ability to work independently and handle a variety of repair projects Warehouse or distribution facility experience is a plus Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to prioritize multiple tasks Interested? High SchoolResponsibilities Perform general facility maintenance and repairs throughout warehouse and production areas.

Troubleshoot and repair basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and facility issues.

Perform preventive maintenance on building systems, equipment, doors, fixtures, and facility components.

Complete general handyman work including carpentry, painting, patching, hardware installation, and minor repairs.

Inspect the facility regularly and identify maintenance or safety concerns.

Repair and replace damaged doors, locks, shelving, fixtures, and other building components.

Assist with basic maintenance and troubleshooting of warehouse and production equipment.

Use hand and power tools safely to complete maintenance projects.

Respond to maintenance requests and prioritize repairs based on operational needs.

Maintain maintenance tools, parts, supplies, and equipment.

Assist with facility improvement and installation projects as needed.

Keep maintenance and work areas clean, organized, and safe.

Follow company safety procedures and properly document completed maintenance work.
