Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled Residential Rental Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing residential rental properties to ensure a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained living environment for residents. Your expertise in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC systems, and facilities maintenance will help uphold the highest standards of property quality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting while contributing to the overall satisfaction of our residents. Duties Perform routine and preventative maintenance on residential units and common areas, and building interior upkeep - general repairs will be required to be done by the technicians, electrical & HVAC repairs will be licensed sub-contractors that need to be supervised Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrical equipment, plumbing systems, HVAC units, and mechanical components using schematics, hand tools, and specialized testing devices such as ohmmeters, if licensed sub-contractors are needed based on repairs needed, technician supervises Conduct carpentry, painting, and other repair tasks to restore or enhance property features Use Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and schedule future inspections, and communicate with the tenants Supervise or assist with maintenance projects involving building interior maintenance and facilities upkeep Provide excellent customer service by addressing resident concerns promptly and professionally while maintaining a positive attitude Follow safety protocols during all repair activities to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and others Experience Proven experience in residential or commercial maintenance roles with a strong background in electrical understanding, plumbing, HVAC understanding, carpentry, and facilities maintenance Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and the use of hand tools as well as electrical equipment repair tools such as ohmmeters Experience working with maintenance management software like CMMS is preferred, training will be provided on in house systems Supervising or leadership experience in a maintenance setting is advantageous but not mandatory Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose issues efficiently Join us in delivering exceptional living experiences by ensuring our properties are maintained at the highest standards!
