Job Description

The position requires a wide range of experience in electrical, plumbing, mechanical, building structural components and computer control systems. A proven self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to work well with others is required. Fingerprinting and a criminal record check are required. This position may require substituting for a Custodian, Laborer or any other Maintenance absence. Performs skilled work in one or more of the building or service trades: Plans work, estimates material and supplies required, may read blueprints to determine outcome of work indicated, interprets diagrams, charts and specifications, requires supplies and equipment.; Operates power equipment, hand tools and testing equipment, maintains equipment and shop in good condition; Repairs and refinishes desks, tables, chairs and other furniture; Cleans and paints walls, woodwork and floors; Grinds and packs valves, packs pumps, replaces worn pipe flanges and gaskets; Replaces cabinets, desks, tables and other office equipment. Other related work as required. Job Qualifications Graduation from high school or vocational school or (3) years of experience in the building or service trades; or Seven (7) years of experience in the building or service trades; or an equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (1) and (b)
