The ideal candidate will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and general maintenance of equipment, facilities, and systems. This role requires a strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Primary Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical, lubrication, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and air handling systems. Inspect and troubleshoot equipment using schematic diagrams to identify issues and determine necessary repairs. Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure the longevity of equipment and facilities. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns to prevent or lessen production downtime Maintain records of repairs, maintenance schedules, safety inspections and checks. Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations. Work with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs, installations and modifications. Assist in facility improvements and upgrades as needed. Required Skills & Abilities Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role. Knowledge of electrical schematic diagrams for pneumatic, hydraulic, HVAC, and mechanical and lubricating systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in proper use of power tools. Physical stamina to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various environments. Good communication and teamwork skills. Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures. Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). OSHA or other safety-related certifications. Education and Experience High school diploma or GED Physical Requirement Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Prolonged periods of standing or walking. Must be able to lift up-to 50 pounds at a time. Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the facility. Must be able to quickly traverse manufacturing areas. Must be able to stand, bend, crawl, stretch, lay, and squat to unload freight.
