POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior / Lead Installer is a highly skilled, hands-on installation professional responsible for delivering high-quality installations of Jouffre's luxury window treatments and related products. The role serves as a technical reference and field leader, coordinating installation activities on site, supporting and guiding other installers, and ensuring that work is executed safely, efficiently, and to Jouffre's exacting standards. While providing day-to-day technical leadership, the position does not carry formal people-management responsibilities.. 1. Hands-On Installation & Technical Expertise Carry out, from start to finish, the installation of high-end window treatments and related products, including: Drapery tracks and decorative hardware Manual and motorized shading systems Roman shades and other soft window treatments Rod and track systems Motorized systems and associated components Final drapery assembly, finishing, and adjustments Apply Jouffre's installation standards and craftsmanship expectations consistently across all projects. Read and interpret architectural drawings, elevations, installation plans, specifications, and technical documentation. Verify site conditions and identify any discrepancies that may affect installation. Use appropriate tools, equipment, and installation techniques for each project. Troubleshoot technical challenges on site and identify practical solutions. Develop strong technical expertise in motorization and control systems, including Lutron and other systems used by Jouffre. Ensure that all installations are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications. 2. On-Site Leadership Act as the senior technical presence on site when leading an installation crew. Coordinate the day-to-day work of installers assigned to the project, ensuring that tasks are clearly understood and properly executed. Lead by example through a high level of craftsmanship, professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail. Organize the sequence of installation activities to ensure efficient progress on site. Provide technical guidance and hands-on support to less experienced installers. Assist other installers in resolving technical or practical installation challenges. Ensure that the team maintains a professional appearance, attitude, and standard of conduct while representing Jouffre. Help create a collaborative and positive working environment on site. Escalate significant technical, scheduling, quality, or client-related issues to the Operations Manager or appropriate Project Manager. 3. Project Preparation & Site Readiness Review project documentation before travelling to site and identify potential installation challenges. Confirm that materials, hardware, tools, equipment, and technical information required for installation are available and appropriate.
Review:
Site measurements, Rod and track systems, Mounting conditions, Motorization and electrical requirements, Elevations and floor plans, Technical and installation drawings, Access conditions and site restrictions Identify missing information, discrepancies, or potential installation risks before work begins. Communicate any concerns promptly to the Operations Manager, Project Manager, or relevant internal team. Participate in installation preparation meetings when requested. 4. Coordination with Internal Teams Maintain clear communication with Project Managers, Coordinators, Production, and other internal stakeholders throughout the installation process. Provide accurate field feedback regarding project readiness, technical issues, material requirements, and installation progress. Communicate discrepancies between project documentation and actual site conditions. Provide photographs, measurements, notes, and other information required to support project follow-up. Inform the relevant internal team promptly of any issue that could affect quality, schedule, cost, or client expectations. Contribute practical field knowledge to improve future projects and installation processes. 5. Client & Site Interaction Represent Jouffre professionally and appropriately at all client and project sites. Maintain a high level of discretion, courtesy, and professionalism when working in private residences, luxury properties, hotels, commercial spaces, and other high-end environments. Communicate confidently with clients, designers, contractors, architects, and other site representatives when technical or installation matters require clarification. Answer technical questions within your area of expertise while escalating matters outside your responsibility. Ensure that the installation area is maintained in a clean, organized, and professional condition. Protect the property, furnishings, finishes, and materials while carrying out installation work. Conduct a final review of the installation area before leaving the site and address any visible finishing issues where appropriate. 6. Quality Control & Continuous Improvement Inspect completed installation work to ensure that it meets Jouffre's quality standards and project specifications. Participate in punch-list activities and final adjustments when required. Contribute ideas for improving installation methods, tools, processes, and efficiency. Support a culture of continuous learning and craftsmanship within the installation team. 7. Travel & Field Flexibility Travel as required to support installations across the United States and internationally. Adapt to different site conditions, schedules, access constraints, and project requirements. Be prepared to work extended or adjusted hours when reasonably required by project schedules. Support complex, high-profile, or technically demanding installations as the senior field resource. 8. Administrative Responsibilities Complete timecards accurately and proactively. Record installation hours and relevant project information as required. Provide installation reports, photographs, measurements, and site notes when requested. Maintain company tools and equipment in good working condition. Follow company procedures for vehicle use, travel, expenses, and site documentation.
KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Significant professional experience in high-end installation, preferably in window treatments, drapery, upholstery, architectural finishes, or a related luxury trade. Strong hands-on experience with drapery hardware, tracks, rods, shades, and related installation systems. Ability to read and understand technical drawings, elevations, floor plans, and installation documentation. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship. Ability to work independently while also coordinating effectively with a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Professional and client-oriented approach. Ability to lead a crew on site without requiring formal managerial authority. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work in a changing site environment. Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required. Valid driver's license and ability to drive company or rental vehicles where required.

Pay:
