Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation, safety, and maintenance of our facilities and equipment. Your expertise will help keep our environment efficient, safe, and fully operational. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) systems to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and repair appliances, mechanical equipment, and building systems using schematics and technical manuals. Conduct repairs on air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, electrical fixtures, plumbing, and other mechanical components. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and system inspections for compliance and future reference. Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to minimize downtime and ensure safety standards are met. Fairfield Properties is seeking A Maintenance tech for the position for one of our apartment rental communities in Suffolk or Nassau. Must be a self-starter with organizational skills. Experience in plumbing, heating, HVAC, appliances repair, carpentry, electrical, general maintenance and apartment preparation.
