SUMMARY OF POSITION
Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing tasks that may include pre-operational inspections, preventative maintenance, plumbing, and electrical. Must be able to assist others, good organizational skills in completing projects and tasks in a timely and efficient manner. Must have working knowledge of mechanical repairs on automated equipment such as pumps and conveyors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Understand and Practice Food safety, Food Quality, GMP, OSHA and EPA. Performs building and property maintenance tasks, fulfilling preventative maintenance, service requests, capital improvements, and machine setup. Completes maintenance tasks in a timely manner; reports start, progress & completion of each task. Makes recommendations to improve the efficiency & effectiveness at the properties. Ensures compliance with building, safety, and health codes. Able to work out-doors throughout all seasons and weather conditions. Welding is a plus. Must have the ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or General Education degree (GED), college is a plus. Proven work experience as a Maintenance Technician/ Mechanic. Experience with mechanical repairs to industrial packaging equipment. Knowledge of EPA and OSHA guidelines. Understanding of safety and equipment procedures. Bi-lingual is a plus.
