Job Description
Job Summary Our client is seeking skilled and dependable Facilities / Building Maintenance professionals to support multiple properties throughout Western New York. This position is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience maintaining commercial buildings, hotels, casinos, manufacturing facilities, hospitals, apartment communities, or other large facilities. Responsibilities Perform general building maintenance and repairs Complete preventative maintenance inspections and work orders Troubleshoot facility and equipment issues Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, and mechanical repairs as qualified Inspect building systems and identify maintenance requirements Use hand and power tools safely Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner Assist with equipment installation and replacement Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records Follow preventative maintenance schedules Maintain safe and clean work areas Follow all safety policies and procedures Coordinate with other facilities personnel when necessary Qualifications Previous facilities or building-maintenance experience preferred Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability Experience with hand and power tools Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or general building maintenance is highly desirable Preventative maintenance experience preferred Ability to read basic equipment manuals and work instructions Ability to perform physically demanding duties Ability to climb ladders, bend, kneel, lift, push, and pull Strong problem-solving skills Dependable attendance and ability to work independently Flexible availability may be required Relevant trade certifications are an asset Candidates with backgrounds as Maintenance Technicians, Facilities Technicians, Building Maintenance Workers, General Maintenance Technicians, Property Maintenance Technicians, or Building Engineers are encouraged to apply.
