Job Description

Orbach Affordable Management is hiring a Maintenance Technician to join our team at Niagara Towers , a 201-unit, a Senior Community that blends Section 8 HUD and LIHTC housing. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys being part of a team, and is committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents.
Job Responsibilities:
Complete daily work orders efficiently. Maintain a team-oriented, positive attitude. Perform light electrical duties, such as changing lightbulbs and thermostats. Replace filters, faucets, sinks, and plumbing components in apartments. In the event of Snow conditions - Operate snow removal equipment, including snow blowers and shovels. Clean grounds, laundry rooms, and common areas on a daily basis. Assist with preparing units for new residents (make-ready tasks). Perform other duties as assigned to support the maintenance team and property. Full-time position , Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (some weekends required)
Qualifications:
Hands-on experience in building and apartment maintenance required. Affordable housing or
HUD/LIHTC
property experience a plus Strong background in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work. Must own basic hand tools and be prepared for inclement weather conditions. Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Professional communication skills when interacting with residents and team members. Experience operating and maintaining lawn care and snow removal equipment. Safety-conscious and committed to following safety protocols.
