Shift Pay:
$30.00-$35.00/hour, based on experience
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM-11:00

Greenwich NY Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of a manufacturing facility. This position will be responsible for equipment setup, preventive maintenance, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, and repair of production and material-handling equipment. The ideal candidate is mechanically and electrically skilled, comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and able to prioritize safety, quality, and productivity . Key Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance on production and material-handling equipment. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems. Diagnose equipment issues ranging from basic to complex. Perform equipment setup and breakdown as needed. Work with PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, seals, gears, chains, sprockets, and related mechanical systems. Read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics, diagrams, and equipment manuals. Perform appropriate lubrication and routine maintenance of mechanical systems. Respond to emergency and unplanned equipment repairs. Document maintenance activities, work orders, and parts usage through a CMMS system. Follow and improve Standard Operating Procedures when applicable. Apply preventive maintenance principles and root-cause analysis to identify and address equipment issues. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Assist with equipment operation when needed. Follow all safety procedures and direction from shift leadership. Complete required safety and equipment training. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience at a journeyman level , or an industrial maintenance degree/certification from an accredited institution. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Familiarity with industrial electrical systems. Ability to read and understand equipment manuals, schematics, and diagrams. Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices. Experience with or ability to learn MIG/TIG welding for repair purposes. Experience with or ability to learn to use mills, lathes, drill presses, and standard industrial shop tools. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently while also supporting a team environment. Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment. Preferred Qualifications Formal training in Industrial Maintenance or Mechatronics. Experience with converting or material-handling equipment. Experience utilizing CMMS systems. Knowledge of 5S methodology and root-cause analysis. Experience using equipment performance data to improve reliability and effectiveness. Physical & Working Conditions Ability to regularly bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand, and walk throughout the facility. Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 45 pounds. Ability to climb ladders and safely work from platforms and equipment at height. Ability to work around moving mechanical equipment and vibration. Work environment may include dust, fumes/odors, noise, temperature fluctuations, wet or uneven surfaces, and extended periods of standing. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Must be comfortable working in a safety-sensitive manufacturing environment. Why Work with Coryer Staffing?
