Shift Pay Range:
$29.24 - $41.30 per hour (based on skills & experience)

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is a Fortune 500 manufacturer with over 15,000 employees across the U.S. What You'll Be Doing As a Multicraft Maintenance Technician, you'll work in a fast paced manufacturing environment performing a wide range of industrial maintenance tasks, including: Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Diagnosing breakdowns and restoring equipment quickly and safely Performing preventive and predictive maintenance Working closely with production and other maintenance team members Continuously expanding your technical skills through paid training and advancement programs No one expects you to know everything—PCA invests in training so you can grow your skills and earnings over time.
What We're Looking For Required:
4+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn multi craft skills Ability to work assigned shift (2nd or 3rd) Must be able to work extended hours and occasional weekends Preferred (not required): Technical degree or certification (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Maintenance, etc.) Experience in corrugated packaging, printing, converting, or manufacturing ✅ Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Pay, Overtime & Benefits That Matter We know skilled technicians have options—here's what sets PCA apart: Compensation & Premiums Competitive hourly pay: $29.24 - $41.30 + shift differential 1.5x pay over 8 hours and over 40 hours/week 11 paid holidays Up to 1 week of vacation in year of hire with 2 full weeks in first full year of employment Company provided uniforms & laundering Safety shoe & safety glasses allowance Tool stipend/replacement program You bring basic hand tools PCA provides special and heavy tools Why Technicians Stay at PCA Stable, recession resistant industry Clear skill progression with paid training Advancement opportunities across PCA's nationwide network Strong safety culture and team environment A company that promotes from within
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Starting salary for position: $29.24 - $41.30 per hour + shift differential
Bonus:
Annual - Based upon achievement of plant performance metrics.
Paid Vacation:
2 weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year. Paid Holidays. Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee (and their dependents) is eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverages -- medical, dental, and vision - and are automatically enrolled in life, AD&D, and disability coverages. Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer provided matching contributions.
