Full-Time/Part-Time Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician at Hampton Inn is responsible for ensuring that the hotel's physical environment is well-maintained, clean, and in safe working order. This includes performing routine maintenance tasks, regular pool maintenance, responding to maintenance requests, and assisting in repair work to ensure the hotel meets high standards of guest satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:
General Maintenance:
Perform routine inspections of the hotel's interior and exterior to ensure all equipment, systems, and fixtures are functioning properly. Repair and maintain building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Address and resolve guest maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner. Conduct regular preventive maintenance on equipment and systems to avoid breakdowns. Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, plumbing issues, appliances, and other hotel amenities (e.g., TVs, door locks, safes, etc.). Maintain hotel grounds and exterior, ensuring that parking lots, walkways, landscaping, and lighting are in good condition. Guest Room Maintenance:
Inspect guest rooms for maintenance issues (e.g., leaky faucets, broken furniture, heating/cooling problems). Perform repairs on damaged or malfunctioning furniture, fixtures, and equipment. Ensure all equipment in guest rooms, such as air conditioners, refrigerators, and televisions, is operational. Facility and Equipment Maintenance:
Regularly inspect and maintain all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Maintain boilers, water heaters, and HVAC units, ensuring they meet operational standards. Complete repairs and assist with the installation of new equipment and fixtures as needed. Ensure that fire and safety equipment is functioning correctly, including fire extinguishers, alarms, and exit lighting. Safety and Compliance:
Follow safety procedures and adhere to OSHA and local safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including maintaining fire safety procedures and codes. Respond to emergency situations (e.g., water leaks, power outages, broken pipes) and take appropriate action. Inventory and Supplies:
Monitor and maintain inventory levels of repair tools, maintenance supplies, and equipment. Report inventory shortages to management and assist in ordering materials and supplies. Maintain proper documentation and records for all maintenance tasks, repairs, and inspections. Teamwork & Communication:
Work closely with other hotel staff to ensure a smooth and efficient operation. Communicate effectively with management regarding maintenance needs and progress. Assist in training new maintenance team members as needed. Job Types:
