Job Description Maintenance Technician Shift:
Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM Join Our Team We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to support the safe and efficient operation of our manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving plant equipment and machinery while minimizing downtime and supporting production goals. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with strong mechanical and electrical aptitude who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment issues in a timely manner to minimize production downtime.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities on production equipment throughout the facility.
Maintain, repair, and service equipment both onsite and, when necessary, at suppliers, vendors, customer locations, or other PCC facilities.
Diagnose production equipment issues and implement cost-effective solutions.
Assist with facility and plant maintenance projects as directed by Maintenance Engineers, the Facilities Manager, or supervision.
Perform work involving electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, pipe fitting, welding, soldering, and general mechanical repairs.
Support robotic equipment operation and perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities.
Troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems and perform light PLC programming modifications.
Operate maintenance-related equipment including forklifts, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts.
Maintain equipment safety, reliability, and operational efficiency across the facility.
Safely handle hazardous materials and waste in accordance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and company policies.
Maintain excellent housekeeping standards and support 6S initiatives in work areas, maintenance shops, and storage locations.
Collaborate closely with Operations and Department Managers to ensure equipment availability and maintenance schedules support production demands.
Follow all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing production needs.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and accountability.
Dependable attendance record and willingness to support operational needs.
Commitment to maintaining a positive, safety-focused, customer-oriented work environment.
Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a manufacturing maintenance or facilities environment.
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing operations.
Hands-on experience with equipment reliability and performance improvement initiatives.
Knowledge of vacuum furnace operation and maintenance is highly desirable.
Education & Experience
5+ years of maintenance, industrial maintenance, or plant engineering experience preferred.
Thorough understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician, Industrial Maintenance Technician, Millwright, Electrician, or related skilled trade preferred.
PLC troubleshooting experience required; light programming experience is a plus.
