Job Description

SUMMARY:
As an Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician , you will be responsible for the uptime and safety of our blending and packaging equipment. Your role involves performing routine inspections, troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues and executing timely repairs. You will also manage maintenance logs, track parts inventory, and ensure the entire facility operates safely and efficiently.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Able to troubleshoot, repair, test, and calibrate pneumatic, mechanical and electrical assemblies, equipment and systems throughout the plant Familiar with general plumbing including black iron, PVC, and copper Follow all safety policies and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Perform daily inspections of blending and batching systems, pumps, process piping, conveyor systems, and numerous other machines used in bottling and packaging of product Assist production staff with machine change over Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical systems, including 480V 3- phase and 24V control circuits, using appropriate tools and testing equipment. Perform other related duties as assigned General understanding of function and operation of VFDs and PLCs Able to work at heights of up to 30 feet above floor level Accurately document maintenance activities, parts usage and equipment conditions using CMMS and work order systems Solid understanding of electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems including HVAC, mechanical, and electrical.
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS
Prior experience using a scissor lift Forklift Certification General fabrication skills (MIG Welding) PLC and VFD programming Experience pertaining to boilers Experience pertaining to air compressors Experience in food manufacturing maintenance
COMPETENCIES
Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods Experienced in operating a variety of equipment and small hand tools Excellent communication skills (oral and written) Excellent manual dexterity and problem-solving skills Ability to read and understand Operation Standards, blueprints, maintenance and equipment manuals, etc. Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds and infrequently as much as 75 pounds Attention to Detail and Accuracy Strong organization skills, Multi-tasking/Prioritization Demonstrated proficiency in project and time management Strong Math Skills Must possess intermediate computer skills Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Minimum 3 years of maintenance technician experience and related trade school certificate or associate degree in a related field Kneeling, climbing, crawling and twisting safely with or without reasonable accommodations Ability to effectively and safely use a multimeter and a variety of hand and power tools Ability to work in wet conditions which may include heat, cold and humidity Must have a valid driver's license with a driving record acceptable to our insurance company Able to effectively use a ladder Ability to work an occasional Saturday Experience using appropriate tools and maintenance equipment Self-motivated and willing to learn
