Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on, versatile Maintenance & Fleet Operations Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys wearing many hats. This role is ideal for a "jack-of-all-trades" professional with strong mechanical aptitude, experience managing equipment and vehicle fleets, and the ability to coordinate repairs and parts procurement. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining pool equipment, ordering parts and supplies, tracking maintenance records, and assisting with the purchase and sale of company equipment. Key Responsibilities Pool & Facility Maintenance Diagnose, repair, and maintain pool systems, pumps, filters, plumbing, and related equipment. Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues. Mechanical & Equipment Support Perform routine inspections and repairs on company equipment. Schedule and monitor preventive maintenance programs. Parts & Inventory Management Source, order, and track parts, supplies, and materials. Maintain inventory levels and vendor relationships. Research cost-effective purchasing options and negotiate pricing when appropriate. Fleet & Asset Management Manage company vehicle and equipment fleet records. Track maintenance schedules, inspections, registrations, warranties, and service histories. Maintain accurate equipment utilization and lifecycle records. Equipment Procurement & Sales Assist with evaluating, purchasing, and disposing of vehicles and equipment. Research market values and prepare equipment for resale. Coordinate auctions, listings, trade-ins, and equipment transfers. Maintain documentation related to purchases and sales. Administrative Responsibilities Maintain organized and accurate maintenance logs and equipment records. Utilize computerized maintenance and inventory systems. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in maintenance, mechanical repair, fleet management, equipment operations, or a related field. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and perform repairs. Experience with pool equipment and systems preferred. Knowledge of vehicle, trailer, and equipment maintenance practices. Experience ordering parts, managing inventory, and working with vendors. Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work independently. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and maintenance tracking software preferred. General construction and/or landscaping experience preferred. Preferred Skills Commercial pool operator certification (or willingness to obtain). Experience with heavy equipment, construction equipment, or municipal fleets preferred. Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing and HVAC experience preferred.
