Job Description
This position will be Monday through Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm.
SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain a clean and sanitary environment for the residents, families, visitors and staff of Laurel Lake by performing all tasks using established policies and procedures and the effective use of tested cleaning chemicals and equipment. Perform all phases of floor and carpet care programs. Complete misc. housekeeping duties as needed and trash removal.QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION
: High School Graduate preferred.EXPERIENCE
Ability to read warning labels on hazardous chemical containers and MSDS sheets. Ability to follow written or oral instructions. Must have previous experience stripping and waxing of hard surfaces. Must have previous experience in cleaning and extracting of carpeted areas. Basic computer skills.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Must be able to lift and carry a maximum of 50 lbs. Ability to push equipment on wheels weighing a maximum of 250 lbs. Good communications skills. Ability to complete assignments with minimal supervision. Must be able to work as a team or alone. Must be able to interface with people of all levels in a positive and professional manner.PRINCIPAL JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
Assists in the training of floor care procedures to other Team members Maintains floor care equipment as needed Performs quality assurance functions and provides training of assigned areas. Maintain cleanliness of all floor coverings by dusting, vacuuming, wet mopping, stripping, finishing, buffing, spot cleaning, bonnet cleaning and extracting. Coordinate yearly and monthly carpet and floor care maintenance and frequencies. Follow through with completion of scheduled carpet and floor care assignments. Maintains sanitation of back receiving dock, including dumpster. Assists in daily trash removal in Skilled Nursing Remove biohazard materials, sharps and dispose in appropriate cylinder. Keep work area and equipment clean and sanitary. Attend mandatory in-services and meetings. Embracement of mission statement and Laurel Lake standards of conduct. Adhere to attendance policies and must be able to work weekends and overtime when required.JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
