As a Facilities Mechanic in our state-of-the-art healthcare environment, you will be the backbone of our operations, ensuring that the complex systems powering our healing spaces run safely and efficiently. Your schedule is structured to provide predictability and consistency, primarily operating on a Monday-Friday day shift. To ensure our round-the-clock operations remain seamless, you will participate in a rotating weekend and alternating holiday schedule, allowing you to plan your personal time well in advance. What You'll Do Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and facility systems to support safe and efficient hospital operations. Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment including boilers, chillers, air handling units (AHUs), motors, and Power House systems. Monitor building systems through the Building Automation System (BAS), complete mechanical room rounds, and respond to equipment issues. Maintain plumbing systems and fixtures, perform drain cleaning, repair doors and hardware, and complete general maintenance and painting projects. Support patient care environments by responding to service requests, adjusting operating room conditions, changing medical gas cylinders, and installing facility equipment as needed. Conduct water and chemical testing, assist with maintenance projects, and participate in the on-call rotation to ensure continuous facility operations. What You'll Need High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3-4 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Experience with boilers required. Valid Driver's License required. Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems. Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
