Duties Measure and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation of windows, doors, and fixtures. Handle glass materials safely during fabrication, transportation, and installation processes. Use hand tools and power tools to install window frames, door jambs, trim carpentry, and related fixtures with precision. Perform dimensional measurements and quality control checks to guarantee proper fit and finish. Install glass materials securely using caulking, glazing techniques, and fixture mounting methods. Complete remodeling tasks such as cabinet installation, construction painting, and assembly as needed on-site. Conduct heavy lifting safely when moving large glass panels or heavy door units while adhering to safety protocols. Requirements Proven construction site experience with a focus on window and door installation or related carpentry work. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans accurately. Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, chisels), power tools (e.g., drills, saws), and fabrication equipment.
MUST HAVE OWN TRANSPORTATION AND TOOLS
Strong understanding of measurement techniques for quality control purposes. Knowledge of glass materials handling, glass installation methods, and fixture hanging procedures. Experience interpreting technical drawings and schematics for precise installation tasks. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and working at heights if necessary. Excellent problem-solving skills with an eye for detail to ensure high standards of craftsmanship. Handyman experience or remodeling background is a plus; safety training in construction painting or caulking is beneficial.
