Edge Plastics Inc, is Seeking a Skilled Maintenance Technician to Perform Facility and Mechanical Maintenance in a Fast-Paced Manufacturing Environment. $5,000 Hiring Bonus •
Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Team Member is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance responsibilities including both facilities and mechanical maintenance. Job Responsibilities:
The list is a comprehensive list meant to represent the most common or important duties of the position. Other duties may be required and/or assigned. Inspects equipment and systems to identify problems or issues. Has general knowledge and ability to utilize machine tools. Repairs and/or installs electrical lines on production equipment, machinery, or physical facility. Performs general and preventative maintenance plumbing, electrical, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) repairs to the facility's equipment and systems preferred. Ability to perform general cleaning, maintenance, and repairs of tow motor and other motorized vehicles within production environment. Assists in routine maintenance, the repair of and/or moving of heavy machinery within production environment. Assists in building construction as necessary. Knowledge of and ability to work safely with a variety of chemicals and lubricants. Ability to read, interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and schematics a plus. Performs general cleaning tasks in the facility. Maintains inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Minimum of 5 years proven manufacturing mechanical maintenance experience. Minimum of 2 years electrical knowledge and experience preferred. Plastic Injection Molding experience preferred. High School Degree or equivalent is preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities•The Maintenance Team Member must have the following abilities: Stand, bend, stretch for hours at a time and lift finished products overhead. Must be able to lift between 37 and 50 lbs at a time. Read and comprehend written instructions and ensure instructions are met and achieved upon review of completed product. Ability to view and understand blueprints/schematics preferred. Ability to be able to visually inspect finished products; view stress fractures, bubbles, color accuracy and other quality metrics to ensure production and client metrics are met. Ability to communicate in professional tone and manner in both verbal and written means. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in a collaborative team setting. Ability to multi-task with a high sense of urgency The Maintenance Team Member must be able to: Training on Day shift. Permanent schedule to be determined, however, must be able to work a mid, second shift schedule if needed. Work on-call as needed, which includes nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime on designated days/weeks. Hiring Bonus Criteria Employees hired into the Maintenance Technician position may be eligible for a Hiring bonus based on the following criteria: Must meet all minimum qualifications for the Maintenance Technician role at the time of hire. Must successfully complete all onboarding and training requirements. Must maintain acceptable attendance during the bonus eligibility period. Must remain actively employed and in good standing with Edge Plastics through the payout date(s). Bonus will be paid in installments $750 after completing 60 days of employment $750 after completing 120 days of employment $1000 after completing 180 days of employment $2500 after completing 270 days of employment Employee must not be on a final written warning for performance, conduct, or attendance at the time of payout. Employees who voluntarily resign or are terminated for cause before the payout forfeit remaining bonus amounts.
